Spencer has taken an interest in running lately and wanted to run in the one-mile race in North Logan, called the Pumpkin Run. He did so well! He took first place for all kids age 1-8. Way to go, Bubbs!!! A few weeks ago he participated in the Tri-School Trot held at Sky View High School. There were students from the three Smithfield Elementary Schools involved. They were able to run laps on the track (as many as they could). He was like the energizer bunny! He completed eight laps and wanted to do more, but it was time to let the older kids run. Most other first graders were calling it quits after 2-3 laps. We may have found a healthy way to channel all his extra energy. I have seriously contemplated inventing a kid-size "hamster wheel" for him.
